API roadmap
The API covers the creator surface for video, live, restreams, rooms (including recording and moderation), core analytics, tier management, checkout for subscriptions, purchases reporting, and notifications. This page lists what is not implemented yet. Items carry no dates.
Analytics (extended)
GET /analytics/sessions— paginated watch sessions with filtersGET /analytics/sessions/:sessionId— single session detail (device, country, duration)GET /analytics/user-journey— aggregated journey metricsGET /videos/stats— optional rollup across all videos (may converge with account analytics)
Monetization
- A Partner API method to grant a specific viewer (by email) access to a paid video, stream or tier, and to issue author access keys per email. Today the checkout endpoints buy as the key owner and access keys are created in the dashboard only — see Recipe: paid catalog.
- One access model for videos and streams: today a live stream opens with an access key or a subscription or a purchase, while a video checks its visibility, tier and purchase gates in sequence.
POST /checkout/gift— gift checkout flows
Tier management is not on this list because it is available: POST /tiers, PATCH /tiers/:id, DELETE /tiers/:id (see Monetization). PUT /tiers/:id and POST /tiers/:id/sync-stripe do not exist: use PATCH, and POST /tiers syncs to Stripe itself.
Developer tooling
- An MCP server for AI agents.
- A TypeScript SDK.
- A command-line tool.
Available now: the OpenAPI 3.1 spec, llms.txt, and a Markdown version of every docs page (append .md to its URL).
Webhooks & realtime
- More webhook events, e.g. stream recording started/stopped and room ended. (
subscription.cancelledalready exists; see Webhooks.) - An account-wide realtime channel for partners (authorized by API key), e.g. for upload processing. Per-stream SSE tails for status, chat and viewers already exist — see Streams.
Operational notes
Shipped changes are listed in the public changelog, GET https://api.dcast.pro/api/v1/changelog (no key), newest first. The cross-creator discovery endpoints (/search, /trending, /feed) were withdrawn and are not planned to return; see Discovery.
